We had a really crazy May this yr, hence my blogging fell a little behind. Will is infatuated with the fact that Kate wears Dora underwear and pees on the potty! He has been telling me when he is going and walks to the potty at times, so I thought.... what the hey, let's get out the potty chair. He sat and sat and sat, the first day, but no results (as I expected), but it did keep him pretty entertained for quite a while.

This is a picture of Kate the night before her tonsils and adenoids came out, and the third set of tubes went in. She was SO excited about eating all the ice cream and popsicles she wanted! I kind of felt guilty not telling her about the rough week ahead, but she's only 3 and I didn't want to get her all worried and upset. And I'm still glad I didn't give her a lot of the info ahead of time.

When we got home from surgery, she had lots of presents waiting for her. She was also very high on narcotics at the time of this photo, so life was still great in her mind!!
The next day the bombshell hit! That's when she realized this surgery thing wasn't so great after all. We just kept the narcotic on schedule and pushed liquids like crazy and she seemed okay. However, I can see why the ENT said to set a week of our lives aside for this. She was definitely 24 hour care for almost a week. Good news, tonsils can't grow back!!!

And of course, we could leave little Will out. My kids think that if one gets presents than the other must too! That's Brett and my fault as we decided to have our kiddos 1 day apart. So for b-days, Christmas and Easter and any other holiday they BOTH get gifts, so Will definitley reaped the benefits from Kate's experience, getting more Dora the Explorer books!!!
Bottom line.... we all got through it, and Kate has a much higher voice now, and has dropped her nap because she now sleeps great through the night without snoring!! Although I have to admit, some days I wish the nap was still around. Oh Well.
