Swimming, Picnics and Snowcones

Thank Goodness for summer!! We have stayed very busy on our Wednesdays since the warm weather has begun. Thanks to my considerate Stay at home Mommy friends, Wednesdays are officially play days to get together, let the kids play (and sometimes kick the crap out of each other) and catch up on important gossip in the neighborhood and discuss our favorite Bachelorette contestant of the week. Very important business I might add!
For the past few weeks, we have gathered at a park and wadding pool by our house. Will is obsessed with this water spigot! He tries to shove all his balls, grass, rocks ......whatever down there before the lifeguard gives me and him a dirty look to knock it off!

Kate on the other hand is just like me. At times she would rather lay out on her towel and absorb the rays. Although, when she' s up for it she'll get in the water and let her imagination fly feeding her dolphins and chasing diving sticks for which she finds challenging as she still isn't quite ready to put her whole head under water comfortably yet.

Here Will if fighting with his friend Jayla on who gets to have their hand on the spigot and try to shove that big red ball down that little hole.

Picnic lunches are always fun. My girlfriends and I decided that Cheetos are also known as little kid cocaine as once that orange bag comes out..... all other nutritious food is thrown to the wayside for those fabulous little addictive crunchy pieces of heaven.

This week we traveled to Music in the Park and the kiddos got free snow cones, lemonade and popcorn. Will had his first snow cone and loved it! Most of it ended up down the shirt, but it was a really warm night so he actually really liked it!

Kate and her friend Avery had a blast together dancing to the Jazz music and enjoying their treats together. It was a great night and the kids actually were worn out enough that they slept until 7am the next day!!! That's like noon at our house!
Have a great Father's Day Weekend Everyone!!
