Aunt Jill surprised everyone and flew home from Africa for Xmas!! It was a huge surprise!! Jill left 20 or so months ago to join the Peace Corp. I was pregnant with Will at that time. She is Will's godmother and it was so wonderful to see them meet for the first time!! Kate recognized her pretty quickly and it only took a short while for her stick to her like glue. And according to my hubby's side, Kate looks like a mini-Jillian, chapped lips and all!!
My fabulous brothers flew in the week before Xmas to guarantee they would beat the Iowa snowstorms!! We don't get to see them very often, so it's always a blast when they arrive!! It was a great time!!
Will and Papa hanging out together. Will forgot he had the Santa hat on, making for some great Kodak moments!
My kids are fascinated with Santa, from afar of course. Will chanted "SANTA!!" all day every day from Thanksgiving on. However, once we actually got to go visit the Big Guy himself the fear set in. Kate did much better this year. It only took 3 visits to work her way slowly to his lap. Yea Kate!! Will on the other hand as you can see was totally traumatized!!

All I have to say is that the year before when I got them to sit with Santa there was no crying. Granted... there was some nose picking but that can happen anywhere.
