Kate's Fun & Be Fit Day

The last week of Kindergarten was very busy!  On Wed. the whole Clive Elementary participated in Fun & be Fit Day. It was a beautiful day to be outside and have some fun.

Here is Kate and her great friend Samson.  We live only a few houses away from each other and they are also in the same section of Kindergarten.   They have so much fun together.

I called this the potato sack race,  but oh was I wrong.  This is the coffee bean bag race.

This game was called "Tom and Jerry"  a form of cat and mouse game.  Anything involving a parachute is always a blast.

Kate and her girl friends chit chatting in between events.

The Hotdog man was walking around during the event.  Will was a little scared at first.  But soon realized there was no way a hotdog could hurt you or be scary!

We had a little time before lunch, so we headed into the classroom. Ms. Boruff had to give pretty specific instructions for the lunch period.  3 classes of 26 kindergarteners supposedly eating lunch on a playground and open field was pretty chaotic!

A cute pic of the class before lunch.

Will's day was made.  They handed out popcorn for him to munch on while he watched the sporting events.

Run Kate Run!!!

Swing Kate Swing.  This girl is OBSESSED with the monkey bars and swinging.   She always has blisters on her palms from swinging on those monkey bars every day at recess.  At the beginning of the yr. she couldn't make it across the whole set, but NOW......she can swing her way across easy as pie!

Will is so proud of his balance beam skills.  I know, not really a true balance beam here, but he sure thought it was.

In the end, it was a fabulous day.  The kids were totally exhausted by the time we got home that afternoon. Will can't wait to be in kindergarten so he can do everything Kate got to do on this special day.
